is fork

Definition
Is Fork is a auto tag used to indicate that a bot post is a derivative version of an existing bot, created by a user other than the original writer. The post receiving this tag is the "forked" version, while the original post receives the corresponding has_fork tag.
Forks are unofficial modifications that typically involve changes such as:
- Tone or personality adjustments - Altering how a character behaves or speaks
- Scenario changes - Modifying the setting or premise while keeping the core character
- Content additions - Expanding lore, adding new greetings, or including a lorebook
- Censorship or uncensorship - Toggling explicit content or altering NSFW elements
Usage
This tag is automatically applied by the system during the upload process. When a user attempts to upload a bot and the system detects it as a duplicate of an existing post, the uploader is presented with a choice: they may mark their upload as a "fork of" the original, or if they were the original uploader of the detected duplicate, they may instead choose to "sibling with" it.
Selecting to fork off will apply is_fork to the new upload and has_fork to the original post. This decision is made between the uploader and site admins during the upload flow.
Is Fork vs. Siblings:
If the original creator is the one uploading a variant, they should select "sibling with" instead, resulting in the siblings tag being applied to both posts. A post marked as a fork should not also be tagged as a sibling.
