origin unknown

Note: This tag is automatically applied based on the character's reported upload source and should not be added manually.

Definition

The origin_unknown tag indicates that the original source of a character card is unknown or could not be determined at the time of upload.

This typically means the uploader was unsure where the card originally came from, or that it originated from another platform not currently listed as a dedicated origin. The tag serves only as metadata describing the card's reported origin and does not imply anything about its quality, format, ownership, or authenticity.

Usage

This is an auto-applied tag and should not be manually added to character cards.

The tag is assigned during the upload process when the uploader selects Unknown or Other as the card's origin.

This tag exists to help categorize cards whose provenance cannot be confidently identified. It should not be interpreted as meaning a card is unofficial, stolen, or of lower quality—only that its original source is unknown or unspecified.
