non-human

Definition

Non-human is a broad umbrella tag for any character that is not a human or does not possess a strictly human form. This encompasses a wide variety of character types including but not limited to mythical creatures, monsters, anthropomorphic animals, aliens, demons, angels, and sentient objects or beings with no real world equivalent.

The tag covers characters that may have humanoid features but are distinctly not human in origin or biology. This includes characters with animal traits, inhuman anatomy, supernatural origins, or any other defining characteristic that separates them from the human species.

Usage

Apply this tag to any character that is not human, regardless of how humanoid their appearance may be. This tag serves as a broad categorization and should be used alongside more specific tags when applicable, such as tags for specific species or creature types.

For characters that are partially human, such as those with only minor non-human features like animal ears or a tail, use more specific tags like monster_girl or anthropomorphic if they better describe the character. The non-human tag can still be applied alongside these more specific tags for broader categorization. Do not apply this tag to humans wearing costumes or using transformative items if their base form remains human.
