edit

Definition

Edit refers to a bot that has been modified from its original version by someone other than the original creator. These modifications can range from minor corrections such as fixing typos or formatting, to major overhauls including rewritten descriptions, altered scenarios, added or removed lorebook entries, or changes to character personality.

Usage

Apply this tag when a bot has been altered from its original source version by a secondary user. When using this tag, two writer tags should be applied to properly attribute credit:

• The original creator using the standard "writer" tag format
• The editor, also using the "writer" tag format

The order of writer tags typically places the original creator first, followed by the editor.

Do not use this tag for:

• Bots created entirely from scratch by a single author
• Minor formatting fixes that do not substantially alter the content
• Official updates or revisions made by the original creator themselves

This tag is particularly useful when used alongside "source_is_censored" or "source_is_deleted", as it helps users understand why a bot may differ from what is available on the original source platform. Users seeking the unmodified version should refer to the original writer tag and check if the source is still available.
