anthrostate

Definition

The anthrostate is not a specific setting, but rather a general scenario where anthropomorphic animals are the dominant species, with humans acting as a lower class that are usually subjected to mistreatment by the anthros. This is also typically paired with anthro women pairing with human men, or actively seeking out human men despite their lower class status.

This is a flexible scenario, as "mistreatment" can range from humans being an underprivileged yet legally-equal species to anthros, to active legal oppression of humans.

The concept of the anthrostate was first developed in 4chan's /adhg/ (Anthro Females Dominating Human Males) threads, and has been expanded upon by various anons and writers.

Usage

This tag applies to settings where anthros are the dominant species in society, and where humans act as an underclass. This tag still applies even if the term "anthrostate" is not used.

Do NOT use this tag in instances where:

• Humans and anthros live together in society, but humans are not disadvantaged and appear to be full equals to anthros.
• Humans are the superior species in a society (see human_supremacy)
• Anthros are the majority-species in a society, but humans are not underprivileged.
