obese

Definition

A descriptor for characters with an extremely overweight or heavily obese body type.

Obese characters are characterized by excessive body fat, very large proportions, and substantial overall body mass. This goes beyond simply being curvy or plump and is typically a defining aspect of the character’s appearance.

Usage

Use this tag when a character is explicitly depicted or described as heavily overweight or obese.

This includes:

• Very large stomachs or body mass
• Excessive body fat across most of the body
• Characters where obesity is a major visual trait

Do not use this tag for:

• Slightly overweight or soft-bodied characters
• Characters who are simply curvy
• Moderately full figures better described as plump

For softer or moderately overweight body types, use plump instead.
