abuse

Definition

Abuse is a broad Scenario tag for deliberate or ongoing mistreatment, harm, exploitation, or control directed toward a character by another person or entity.

Usage

Apply this tag when a character is involved in an abusive situation or dynamic. This can include physical, emotional, psychological, sexual, or other forms of deliberate mistreatment.

This is a broad tag and should not replace more specific abuse tags. When a specific type of abuse is clearly present, apply the appropriate specific tag as well.

For abuse directed toward a child, use child_abuse. For abuse directed toward an animal, use animal_abuse.

For a character who is the victim or has been a victim of abuse, use abuse_victim when appropriate.

Do not apply this tag merely because a character is rude, mean, hostile, or involved in an unhealthy relationship. The content should establish actual abusive treatment or an abusive dynamic.
